This is the first Evangelion movie. It is essentially a compulation of the first 24 episodes of the TV series. It explains the story to set the stage for the next movie(s). Small changes are made like when Rei pulls the lance out of Lilith, she regenerates her legs. We also see more of the Second Impact.
