Angel Attack

Young Shinji Ikari is contacted out of the blue from his father. He wants Shinji to meet him at Nerv, a special agency controlled by the UN. Captain Misato Katsuragi was sent to pick him up. Meanwhile, the mysterious beings known as "Angels" have returned. The Third Angel, Sachiel*, is making its way towards Tokyo-3.

The millitary deployed everything they had at the Angel without making a scratch. They detonated an N2 mine which only slowed down the Angel temporaraly.

When Shinji arrives at Nerv, he is instructed to pilot the giant machine known as Evanglion Unit 01. After much arguing, Shinji accepts since if did not go, they would send Rei Ayanami, another fourteen year old who is serverly wounded and would die if she atacked the Angel.
