A Man's Fight/Form of the Mind, Introjection

Shinji goes ballistic after finding out that the pilot of Unit 03 was his best friend Toji. He treatens to use Unit 01 to destory Nerv because of his father's betrayal to him. These actions gets Shinji dismissed from Nerv again.

After Shinji leaves Nerv the 14th and most powerful Angel so far attacks. Shinji watchs in horror as this Angel easily defeats both Asuka and Rei. Shinji realizes that he must pilot Unit 01 to prevent the Third Impact.

Then the unthinkable happens. After Shinji gets into Unit 01 and starts fighting the Angel, the energy reserves die out. Unit 01 is out of power! The Angel uses this to it's advantage. It blasts a hole into Unit 01's chest, exposing the fact that this Evangelion has as S2 Unit, the same power source as the Angels. Then Unit 01 wakes up! it rips apart one of the arms of the Angel to regenerate its own lost in the battle. Then with only one blow, Unit 01 rips though the Angle's AT Field and the Angel itself. With the Angel on the ground and defeated, Unit 01 starts to eat the Angel's S2 unit. The epiosde ends with Unit 01 screaming after ripping off its retraints.
