Shinji and Unit 01 head out to attack the Angel. Without no experience, it was remarkable that Shinji was able to syncronize with the Eva. But With that lack of experience, the Angel's attack was to much for Shinji. With the pain of the Angel attack onto the Eva transmitted directly to Shinji, Shinji is easy prey for the Angel.
