The Birth of NERV/He was aware that he was still a child

Sub-Commander Fuyutski has been abducted by SEELE. SEELE wants to know what Commander Ikari is planning against their scenario. Through this interigation, we get to see the events since Gendo first met Fuyutski, just before the Second Impact. We see how Nerv was created and old friends, long gone. We see Yui Ikari, Shinji's mother. Her work was pivitol for the creation of the Evangelions. We see a young Shinji just before the accident that takes Yui from this world. We also see a young and unusually mischivious Rei as well, including her...death??

Kaji rescues Fuyutski, sealing his own doom, which he takes quite well. The episode ends with Misato listening to a message from Kaji telling her to cntiune his work.
