Unit 03 was being made in the USA, but when Unit 04 disappeared, they transfered it to Japan. During the activation test with the fourth child, Unit 03 went berserk. Unit 03 was then classified as the 13th angel and Shinji, Asuka and Rei were ordered to destroy it. Evangelion Unit 03 was destroyed by Evangelion Unit 01. The pilot was nearly killed. The designated pilot for Unit 03 is Toji Suzahara.
